At M.G.E Coppicing Ltd, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. Working from Chiddingfold, we responsibly harvest sweet chestnut timber from local estates within a 15-mile radius, helping to maintain healthy woodlands while supporting traditional countryside skills and local land management.

Our primary focus is producing high-quality fencing materials from sustainably managed coppice woodland. Coppicing is a centuries-old woodland management practice that encourages natural regrowth, increases biodiversity, and supports long-term woodland health.

We are committed to making full use of every tree we harvest. Timber unsuitable for fencing is carefully processed into sustainable firewood and traditional charcoal, minimising waste and maximising the value of our local natural resources. By using locally sourced timber and local production methods, we reduce transport miles and lower the environmental impact of our products.
